The advanced operations pilot certificate allows First Class Drones to fly in controlled airspace, within 5m of people and over people with our advanced parachute systems. All pilots need to pass an advanced online exam and in person flight review to obtain the license. All professional drone operators MUST have this licence to operate.

First Class Drones was one of the first drone companies in Canada to legally fly over people. All of our parachutes are designed to enable safe, regulated commercial flight over people. All our parachutes have deployment systems made from high strength ballistic materials. They deploy the parachute in 30 milliseconds, creating an equivalent speed of 75-90 mph which is great enough to overcome the rotational velocity caused by the roll and tumble of a malfunctioning drone. This completely eliminates entanglement when the drone fails allowing the aircraft to fall softly to the ground with less than 30J of kinetic energy. This ensures that anything below the drone is 100 percent safe!
